Bounces & repeat bounces The "Bounces" statistic counts all the newsletters that you've sent but did not reach your audience because they were rejected by one of the servers: sending or receiving mail server. Usually, bounces happen either because the sender misspells the recipient's e-mail address, thus resulting in a nonexistent e-mail address, or because the recipient's inbox is already full. You can't prevent the latter situation from happening, but you can make sure your members typed their addresses correctly by sending a short welcome e-mail prior to the newsletter. Spam reports & repeat spam reports Everybody's acquainted with spam, so we won't insist too much on this statistic. "Spam reports" occur when the recipient of your newsletter acts as if they've received unwanted mail and clicks on the "junk" or "report spam" button. To avoid that happening - and believe us, you need to avoid getting spam reports and especially repeat spam reports because they affect your credibility online - make sure you send your newsletter only to the people who showed interest in you and your escort site. Unsubscribes This statistic is linked with the former, given that any mass audience message should include an unsubscribe link. So, tipically, the recipient who might have marked your newsletter as junk will surely look for the unsubscribe link. If they do click that link - which you need to make sure is inclosed in the body of the newsletter - they are added to your "Unsubscribes" list and their e-mail address is skipped the next time you send a newsletter. Don't try to be pushy - if someone unsubscribed from your newsletter, it's hard not to take it personally, but it's really worse for business to continue sending them the newsletter anyway. Invalid mails The "Invalid email" response is what you get when you don't pay enough attention to what you're typing. The most common such situation is when you try to send a newsletter to an e-mail address that doesn't include the "@" sign. It's silly, but it does happen, simply because your members, in the heat of the moment, forgot to double-check the data they provided you. That's why you should do that yourself - ideally before you engage in sending the newsletters. And that's the end of our newsletter metric short series, but stay tuned for more tips and tricks on how to improve your escort site. Keep in touch, Alexey |
